Below is a report showing the results of our survey into the impact of Covid 19 on the young people with a hearing loss in Dumfries and Galloway. The report was commissioned in conjunction with D& G council’s youth work team.

The report reveals that just over seventy percent of young people with a hearing loss felt okay about their disability prior to covid 19. During the pandemic this figure dropped to just 50% and 35% reported feeling more negative.

Masks were cited as causing the most difficulties particularly in schools and workplaces.
